The life, professional and scientific paths of Dr. Janusz Patkowski (1907-1966), an otorhinolaryngologist from Lvov, practicing in Great Britain after World War II, are presented. His publication on antistreptolysin treatment, one of the first sulfonamides, and a work on tuberculosis statistics in otolaryngology from the south-eastern territories of the Second Polish Republic are analyzed.
